KINGSTON, N.Y. -- Hundreds of people in Kingston enjoyed a holiday feast at the Caring Hands Soup Kitchen. That's where the Salvation Army and Clinton Avenue United Methodist Church teamed up to help the less fortunate.

Volunteers along with city officials also delivered 300 meals to those unable to leave their homes.

Reverend Darlene Kelley tells us it's more important this year than ever to lend a helping hand.

"People are under employed. They're working minimum wage jobs and not making it, so as Americans, it's really important for us to remember it's really important for us take care of each other. We are our brother and sisters’ keepers and that's what we believe here at Clinton Avenue United Methodist," said Rev. Kelley.

All of the food was donated by the community, local food banks and supermarkets. ClientIP:, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
