HUDSON VALLEY, N.Y. -- The holidays are just a few days away, so here's a heads up on special hours of operations that you might encounter in the coming days.
City and government offices, schools and post offices will be closed on Christmas day and New Year’s Day.
Most libraries will be closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
Port Authority terminals will be closed on Christmas Eve, Christmas day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s day.

For all the last minute shoppers out there, they'll probably be out of luck come Tuesday. The Poughkeepsie Galleria and the Galleria at Crystal Run will both be closed on Christmas day. They will be open until 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve. Newburgh Mall and the Hudson Valley zMall are closed on Christmas day, but both are open until 5 p.m. on Christmas Eve.
The Woodbury Common will be closed on Christmas day. The outlets will be open until 6 p.m. on Monday.
Trash will be collected a day later for the City of Poughkeepsie. There is no trash collection on Christmas for the City of Middletown and no recycling collection on Friday.
