Volunteers stuffed more than 80,000 Easter eggs and hundreds came out to search for them Saturday. YNN's Beth Croughan visited the first of two Enough anti-violence events held in Albany that day, and has this report.

ALBANY, N.Y. --The bleachers at Bleecker Stadium were packed with people, Saturday. More flowed out onto the field, waiting for the go ahead given by Pastor Charlie Muller. "All right go get those eggs. Go get them eggs," he yelled to the crowd.

While colored plastic eggs filled with candy and money. "Lots and lots of candy," explained 10-year-old Brian Womeldorph . "And I got one that had money it," said 10-year-old Isaiah Lafortune.

And a chance to win a bike were the main motivators; the message behind Saturday's big search was strong.

"They walked away with the message of anti-bullying, anti-gun violence. We continually send you this message, but I believe the people are starting to get it, you know because of the response we're having today," said Muller of the Victory Christian Church.

The response was welcomed by Muller, the Albany County District Attorney and volunteers with the Enough anti-violence program.

"We committed ourselves to transforming this community through children. Getting children out, getting children to relate to one another, getting them to play together. We create these events, we do it all summer long and it's we look forward to. I think when you see people leave here, they've left with something," said District Attorney David Soares.

It took the hundreds of children, just 10 minutes to collect the 40,000 eggs filling the fields here at Bleecker Stadium. The District Attorney said this largest Easter Egg Hunt hosted by Enough.
